【Cruising Plan 02】Sibuyan Sea – Sea of Requiem
セブで再建を終えたヨット勇魚は、自宅のあるスービックに回航してスービックヨットクラブをホームポートにする予定。セブのシップヤードからスービックまでは380マイル、4knで4日間のフィリピン内海航海の途中、シブヤン海を通る。そのシブヤン海の北緯13.07度、 東経122.32度、史実に記録されたこの地点の水深1,200mの海底に戦艦武蔵が静かに眠っている。セブからスービックへの回航時には、この場所で祈りを捧げたい。
Subic Bay Yacht Club will be the home port of the yacht Isana upon completion of restoration. It is 380 N miles from the shipyard in Cebu to Subic Bay, so 4 days voyage with 4 kn sailing inside the Philippines water passing through the Sibuyan Sea. At 13.07N, 12.32E in the Sibuyan Sea on 1,200 m deep seabed, a world famous battleship Musashi is laying on. When passing this location, I would like to pray for them.
1944年10月24日、ブルネイからレイテ沖海戦に向かった武蔵、シブヤン海で攻撃を受けて沈没した。
2015年3月3日、70年ぶりにマイクロソフト社創業者の一人であるポール・アレン氏が1,200mの海底に散乱する武蔵を発見した。
On October 24, 1944 during the Battle of Leyte Gulf, a battleship Musashi sank down at Sibuyan Sea.
70 years later on March 3, 2015, Mr. Paul Allen who is one of founders of Microsoft discovered sunken Musashi on 1,200 m deep seabed.
