セブで再建を終えたヨット勇魚は、自宅のあるスービックに回航してスービックベイヨットクラブをホームポートにする予定。セブのシップヤードからスービックまでは380マイル、4knで4日間のフィリピン内海航海の途中、シブヤン海を通る。そのシブヤン海の北緯13.07度、 東経122.32度、史実に記録されたこの地点の水深1,200mの海底に戦艦武蔵が静かに眠っている。セブからスービックへの回航時には、この場所で祈りを捧げたい。
The yacht Isana, having completed its rebuilding in Cebu, is planned to be ferried to Subic, where home is located, and to make Subic Bay Yacht Club its home port. The distance from the Cebu shipyard to Subic is 380 miles, and during the four-day voyage through the inland seas of the Philippines at 4 knots, it passes through the Sibuyan Sea. At 13.07° N and 122.32° E in that Sibuyan Sea, at a depth of 1,200 meters on the seabed, the battleship Musashi rests quietly—this location recorded in historical fact. During the ferry from Cebu to Subic, I would like to offer a prayer at this place.
1944年10月24日、ブルネイからレイテ沖海戦に向かった武蔵、シブヤン海で攻撃を受けて沈没した。
2015年3月3日、70年ぶりにマイクロソフト社創業者の一人であるポール・アレン氏が1,200mの海底に散乱する武蔵を発見した。
On October 24, 1944 during the Battle of Leyte Gulf, a battleship Musashi sank down at Sibuyan Sea.
70 years later on March 3, 2015, Mr. Paul Allen who is one of founders of Microsoft discovered sunken Musashi on 1,200 m deep seabed.
