【Voyage Log 01】Camotes Island, Cebu, Philippines for Sea Trial
2026年4月15日〜16日にかけて、修理が完了した勇魚のシェイクダウン航海、シートライアルを行った。15日朝９時前にカモテス島に向かって航海を開始した。風は北東３〜４m/s、最初の3時間は機走、少し風が上がって5〜6m/sでセーリングに切り替えて4knで帆走。サンチャゴリゾート沖には午後１時半ごろにに到着。水深計を見ながら岸から約300mほどまで近づき、水深8mでアンカーを落とした。
From April 15 to 16, 2026, we conducted the shakedown voyage and sea trial of Isana after repairs were completed. We departed just before 9 a.m. on the 15th, heading toward Camotes Island. The wind was from the northeast at 3–4 m/s; for the first three hours we proceeded under engine power, then as the wind picked up slightly to 5–6 m/s, we switched to sailing and made 4 knots. We arrived off Santiago Resort around 1:30 p.m. While checking the depth sounder, we approached to about 300 meters from shore and dropped anchor in 10 meters of water.
4/15朝９時前、カーメンのシップヤードを出航して、カモテス島を目指す。ここ2週間は全く雨も降らず、気温は朝から既に30度を超えた、絶好のセーリング日和！
Before 9 a.m. on April 15, we set sail from Carmen’s shipyard, heading for the Camotes Islands. There hasn’t been any rain at all for the past two weeks, and the temperature was already over 30°C in the morning—perfect weather for sailing!
3時間機帆走後、最後の2時間ほどはエンジンも切って帆走した。カモテス島サンチャゴビーチ沖には午後１時過ぎに到着。
After 3 hours of motor-sailing, we turned off the engine and sailed for the final 2 hours. We arrived off Santiago Beach on Camotes Island shortly after 1 PM.

水深計を注意深く見て、水深８mの地点でアンカーを投下。ウインドラスもスムーズに機能し、アンカーチェーンは50m展張した。
Carefully watching the depth gauge, we dropped anchor at a depth of 8 meters. The windlass also operated smoothly, and 50 meters of anchor chain was deployed.
上陸準備のためテンダーを下ろして試運転。

そして、ビーチにランディング。
And then, landing on the beach.
2020年春、コロナ禍が世界を席巻する直前にダナオからフェリーに乗ってバイクで訪れた、サンチャゴベイサンクチュアリ。あれから６年が経過したが沖合には当時と同じ青いカタマランが停泊していた。あの時にここに勇魚で戻ってくることを誓ったが、ようやく実現することができた。美しい海と大きく広がる砂浜は、あの時のままだった。
In the spring of 2020, just before the COVID pandemic swept across the world, I visited Santiago Bay Sanctuary by motorcycle after taking a ferry from Danao. Six years have passed since then, but the same blue catamaran was still anchored offshore. Back then I vowed to return here on the Isana, and I was finally able to make that happen. The beautiful sea and the wide, expansive beach were just as they had been back then.

翌4/16朝、東の空に太陽が姿を現した。実に爽快な朝！！
On the morning of 4/16, the sun appeared in the eastern sky. What a truly refreshing morning!!
朝は潮位が上がり水深10m。船の上から海底の様子がよく見える。本当に綺麗な海。
In the morning, the tide rises and the water depth is 10 meters. From the boat, the seabed is clearly visible. It’s truly a beautiful sea.
帰路は風が弱く、全行程機走。午後１時半にカーメンのシップヤードの帰着。改良点はいくつか見つかったが、基本的にはシートライアルは成功した。
On the return journey, the wind was light, so the entire passage was under engine power. Returned to Carmen’s shipyard at 1:30 p.m.
Several areas for improvement were identified, but overall the sea trial was a success.
